QUESTION: If kids hate science and math, and love art and music how do you inspire a generation to embrace robotics?
ANSWER: Hold a Robot competition with the the Black Eyed Peas.
This Sunday to celebrate the 20th Annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Championship ABC Television will host a special feature called “Science is Rock and Roll” Aug. 14th at 7pm EST.
The FIRST event is a a worldwide science and robotics K-12 competition that celebrates technology. As part of the media blitz there will be live performances by The Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith, as well as special appearances from a host of high profile celebrities speaking out to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education.
